Yeah when TFC abruptly sold the P40C 20 plus years ago , when I talked with a friend in the industry he told me bluntly " It's a business". Ever since that day I totally get it when someone sells something . Sometimes , they regret it and go buy another one, like Rod Lewis with his second Mosquito.

IIRC Rod already had the 2nd Mosquito underway and preferred it being dual control. Even Rod doesn't need two Mossies.

I do agree with you though, too many feelings involved with decisions that most outsiders don't know anything about and just want to complain.

Agreed, it's business but also facilitates the opportunity for others to see interesting aircraft as collections swap assets and so on. I don't know how many American warbirds have come to the UK and Europe since Don Bullock imported the A-26 in 1978 and Stephen Grey acquired Moose back in 1980 but it must be somewhere between 50 and 100; many have returned home, others have moved on elsewhere, several have been lost... And other aircraft have gone the other way, after all, fair's fair!

Very true. From what I've heard, Jerry Yagen always regretted selling 'Chuckie'.
