So which airframes will be restored? Do they have additional copies of these aircraft so if they crash will they still have a static example to retain for display? Exciting for sure.


I believe the IAF Historic Squadron also has an airworthy C-47.

:D .. the interest waxes and wanes till a point .. but right now I think the IAF ended up with people having the right amount of interest from top down - right from the Chief down.. so it got just a little bit more push. The recent 'repainting' of the birds in the IAF Museum, other acquisitions and then this - are more than just a coincidence..

I'm curious about that Lysander. Is that the one traded for a Liberator from Canada back in the 60s that was rather mistreated by the Indian museum for many years?

A 53year old Hurricane??? Pretty sure production ended before 1968..
