Glenn,

I have a question for you. I have been to Garber before during the initial restoration of the Enola Gay and the Sieran. I brought my father along, and at the time, one of the docents indicated that there was a plane in storage that is signifigant to my father. It was one he worked on many years ago, belonging to or rather perhaps flown by the Kennedy family. I can't for the life of me remember what aircraft it was....can you help me out here ??

Hi paul;
I believe the ol aircraft associated with the Kennedy's is the "Caroline" which I believe was a Convair 440 JFK used on his run for the presidency when he was a senator. I'm going by memory, so if someone knows for sure, please correct me. For a time, in one of the Downtown gallerys, the inside of "Caroline" was on display as a wallk through exhibit.

I might be wrong, but I don't think it's at Garber anymore. Perhaps it's at the Kennedy Library?

I thought that I had herd, that Hazy was supposed to get a new restoration facility added into the museum....and it would be so that restoration could be viewed by vistors while "work in progress". I was thinking that this would totally wipe out Garber. I guess they would transfur them out as restoration comes available if Garber is still going to be used as storage.
