G'day Tony

our understanding is that the B-25 was stripped of most of its internal fittings and turrets. Despite this we considered it a better option than a recovery from a remote location.
regardless of its condition it will and would have, needed a total strip down. We have a good team getting her ready for the long trip to her new home. As for the Avatar, I could be giving my age away
but I recall an early TV space series which had something very similar. So I searched for X-ray glasses and you can see the results. I like it because I think its important to have X-ray vision sometimes
so you can see whats really going on in the world.

Reevers is looking to repaint our B-25 Mitchell "Lucky Lady" into an appropriate B-25 NEIAF / Netherlands East Indies Air Force WW2 colour scheme. See more at the link - https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php? ... 1983571669

or if not on facebook send us a message if you know of anything that could be suitable.

Work is progressing on disassembly of Lucky Lady. Today we moved it outside and should have her all apart by Friday. Hoping to post pictures soon. :drink3:

I saw the photos on Facebook, she's a pretty bird! Bravo Reevers!

Any thoughts about bringing one/some/all of your heavy metal over the Ditch when they're broken-in? :drink3:

Saturday, 2:45PM...After eating lunch today, the rains came, so another waiting period...supposed to rain tomorrow....we can't trust Dave on top the wing when it gets wet, he gets to doing his happy dance when gets to altitude, and falls off......

We stopped by the Old Dominion Wing of the CAF and had breakfast at their hangar...it sure was better and hotter than the hotel's continental breakfast. Met some interesting folks there. Ed Bankston came out to see us, he used to pilot Lucky Lady in better days...he knows a lot of this aircraft's history, and I might mention that this gentleman has quite an amazing history in his own right.

Dave, Paul, Pat, and myself have been toiling away at the corroded nuts and bolts that have been giving fits...definitely a blood, sweat, and tears project, but we endeavor to press on. At least we did manage to get the starboard engine off the airframe before lunch.

Sorry, but I am not able to post pictures to the WIX site, so I have to forward them to Reevers, but I will have a few more soon.
