So far it is looking likely that we will return to Greenland this year for another shot at a P-38 recovery. The plan is to be out on the ice by mid-June.
The crevasse area depicted above is nowhere near the glacier we are working on. The planes are moving to the Southeast and into an area of deep perpendicular cracks running West to East. Cracks in the glacier were narrow to the North where we were searching and got wider just South of our search area. This is a beautiful and quiet place when the weather allows it.
