Gary, thanks for your earlier reply. I don't have a current picture of N7272C but would like to see
one posted. Alan Brooks and I have been trying to piece together who has what and what it would
take to purchase a PV-2. Alan describes the Harpoon as "the most unloved warbird" and we would
like to see that change.

Craig, thanks for the info on 7670...This is now called Attu Warrior, and owned by Dave Hansen, I have been fortunate to be a crew member on this flying example of history. As of the moment, she is in Kansas City, Mo. in the hangar with the old Save-A-Connie Constalation. The owner of tanker #39 and 7272C is the chief pilot for 7670C...We, the afore mentioned Harpoon owners, Pooner, Big Jim aka Mrmoto from Montana, my son Mike and I, pulled the wings from 7458C, which is my bird, in May of 2009. The wings and tail feathers, nose cone , motor mounts, and cowlings are in Mo., and Ks. The Johnson County Commissioners decided that the remaining Harpoons needed to be removed from the airport, so in July 2011, I moved them off of airport property on a private lot where they sit now...and that would be 7458C...7080C...7272C. Craig, I would love to see the pics that you do have!

Steve,
I started an informal group called H.O.G., Harpoon Owners Group, to help assist owners with locating parts for their birds, so have come to know the majority of the Poon owners, and would be happy to assist if you are looking to get one for your very own!
I have some pictures of 72C, but can't post on WIX for some reason...send your email add. and I'd be happy to send to you.

Current plans are to separate the center section from the fuselage on 58C this spring and summer, and get het trucked to Mo,. where we can start putting her back together.

Gary, we are hoping to be fortunate enough to purchase a Harpoon in the not too distant
future. As you know much more goes into it than purchasing the plane...Will stay in touch.
