Special Kay: A-26A/B-26K will fly in 2014. She is about 72% complete. Many of the big pieces are going back on now. Landing gear is all but done. Just need to check the rigging. There is a lot of small detail work left to do. Paint and one engine overhaul are the main items left. Ck out website: http://www.gga1.org JR

I'm looking forward to this plane in the air!

I imagine Pacific Fighters' P-51B "Berlin Express" will be flying in 2014. Anyone know any details on how Brent Hisey's P-51C is progressing?

Any chance Dottie Mae, Little Nugget or Collings F6F take to the skies next year?

Hopefully The Fighter Collections' Fiat CR.42. It's currently at Vintage Fabrics Ltd. for fabric and paint. I look forward to seeing it in the sky with TFC's Gloster Gladiator. (David Whitworth photo).

Hi Ben,

I would suggest that 1, or maybe 2, of those will fly before the end of this year

From the Little(r) Friends side of the warbird world, Our 1943 Fairchild UC-61K (Military version of the F24) USAAF# 43-14964 will be flying next summer. Hopefully make OSHKOSH.
We just got the paint in and the Ranger Motor is being assembled now. It flew with the RAF as an ARGUS 3 S/N HB-690 from June 1944-45. It was a barn find here in Illinois and we have been slowly bringing her back to life for the past dozen years of weekends and holidays and any chance we can work on it.

Agreed. Sick craftsmanship and attention to detail/histoical fact. Sounds like it'll be a June baby. Will be great to see it back in the air.

Spoke to "Brother John" via e-mail a little while ago...Sonoma SSII event was a hit with many of the noteables from her past and present gathering to tell stories and share information. Garage addition kept me home

The Christgau Memorial Fly-in to be held in early July if all pans out. Date TBD. To bad the guest of honor won't be there. Sucks not having him around anymore. Guess we'll have to raise a toast from a far in his honor.

Was up and visited with Pat a couple weeks ago. P-82 has much ground to cover yet. Definitely not '14. It goes without saying it'll be the restoration achievement of damnear all time in my books when it's done.
