Little bit of luck, little bit of decent camera, little bit of decent timing (lucky timing!). We were setting up the ramp for the day and I happened to have the camera nearby.

Thanks for the pics. Looks like a long way from what I remember of Harlingen in the late '70s - early '80s. :( What is the yellow Mustang Racer?

Actually not a bad show this year.... at all........ Yes, I know it's not Harlingen, but still really good...... considering a lot of mechanicals and the Dixie Wing having their own Airshow on the same weekend did not help........

Also Navions, Pt's, L birds too.... not wanting to slight anyone.........
Precious Metal did fly on Saturday....what a beauty of a day too!..... She made some amazingly fast circuits across the field and was reportedly only running about 50% of available power..... The Griffon sounds really awesome.... Have not heard a Griffon run in Midland since the Shackleton days.... On the C-45 and T-6/SNJ the count may be short, but I believe this is the number flying during the trainer parade and then the transport stream..... As always, anything pertaining to what actually happened is purely coincidental!!!!

Thanks Alan. Everybody seemingly wants to throw dirt on the CAF Airsho at Midland, but it still remains one of the best n the country. Only place to see that much heavy iron. Any pix?

Bill, the only thing that throws dirt on Airsho is the West Texas wind... Every time I come back from there the plane is covered in it! 8)
