Sparkchaser, so you would have known Mark Wiener and Joe Doyon. I worked for Mark in the marine division from 1990 to 2000 and I was the last employee Bob hired before his death. I was hired on 3/20/1990 two weeks before he died. I didn't know him well, but he sure loved his employees like family. In fact he loved us so much he had an apartment built on the 3rd level of 840 NW 45th street so he could spend most of his time there. How I found this forum was by searching for Bob and current news of U-Swage. I drove my Fiancé by their location in Woodinville. He may have died young, but he lived more in his 60 some odd years than most people live in 90. Conrad sure stuck with it though huh... Here's a bit of knowledge for you old plane buffs... The GM Sparkchaser mentions... Conrad is also directly responsible for the design and implementation of Lock Clad... the aluminum tubing swaged over the main length of wire rope cables between sheaves in all aircraft to reduce stretching.
