BTW?? Anyone here willing to donate to my search for Amelia? I'll be looking in bars, casinos and golf courses starting here in the USA just in case she made it back. I'll take PayPal, but suitcases of cash preferred. Donors get included on the TV Special that we will be producing....

hi, all. you don't hear from me much, i'm pretty much the lurking type. not a pilot. i build models, and hit air shows, museums. i learn alot from you guys, daily. about AE, i'm a true believer of the papua new guinea theory. and i find i am a bit surprised that i seem to be the only one who visits WIX who feels this way. I don't want to step on any of the fun that lambasting TIGHAR provides by being all serious, but i just have been wondering for the longest time why nobody here seems to find this PNG idea as thrilling and solid as I do. Gillespie just funnels dollars away from Billings, and i believe he is going to find it. It's aggravating to me that the real story seems to be ignored but the freckle cream gets so much publicity it's sickening. i'm sure i'm not hipping you all to this for the first time but i will add a link anyway...or at least try. i bet i blow it.

I've always thought the New Guinea theory was interesting. I just don't think the Electra could have reached it, or at least the probability seems extremely low unless they somehow caught the tailwind of the century. I've read some posts on Mr. Billings theory from Mr. Gillespie that were rather unkind which I find ironic.
It is fun to read some of the posts on tiggers forum, especially the lastest where some dude ponied up 3500 for a pair of tickets to New Zealand so the boys could study the pictures in person. Its hilarious.
As a side note I recall reading somewhere a debunking of the serial number written on the map that seemed to put another nail in the coffin of that theory. I've posted here of the New Guinea theory before buts its been awhile, back around the time of the freckle cream nonsense.

if she would have had russell Johnson (the professor from the tv show Gilligan's island) as her navigator, they would have fashioned some kind of "rube Goldberg" contraption & would have been back to civilization decades ago!!
