New build on old data plate?

Just speaking as an outsider, I do know there was at least a substantial section of the right-wing from that wreck, which, still in remarkable condition, had the original paint on it, including the factory-applied USAAF star-and-bars with the RAF roundel painted over it (as well as I believe evidence that the upper surfaces were painted standard RAF gray/green camouflage, while the lower surfaces remained US neutral gray).

For Pacific Fighters, this is the fourth P-51B/C that they've done, if you were to count "Princess Elizabeth", which they rebuilt the fuselage and wings for. I also couldn't help but note the comment by John Muszala II that they'd be ready to do another B/C model as soon as there is an interested buyer. ; )

Definitely continuing to see more and more of the cuffed Hamilton Standard blades these days, especially on these types of detailed restorations. (It's almost cause for reminder that the last several batches of D-models built in 1945 were actually manufactured with the later non-cuffed squarer-tipped Hamilton Standard blades installed, some of which found there way to the Pacific by the end of '45.)

If you have seen the Woody Allan movie Sleeper, it is like the movie, they took a nose and attempted to build a body around it, except in this case, it started with a data plate and they built a plane around it
