Terrible news  It was only a few months ago we did an article on #74 with help from both Bob and Casey. What a tragedy :(

RIP Bob from the CW team.

A classic memory from back in 2000. What a good fellow. Wish I could do this just one more time...

Oh No :(

I have two very wonderful memories of Mr Odegaard...one from the Cleveland Airshow in 2001. He was sitting in his Race 57, waiting for his turn to go up. I was running my video camera and struck up a conversation with him. Filmed the whole routine later where he was chasing the Gee Bee etc. Great day and some great flying! Next great memory was at Thunder. Hot day. Stopped to look at Race 57, struck up a conversation with him about North Dakota. He asked my then very little son if he wanted to sit under the wing to get out of the sun for a spell. Just a super nice gentleman! I feel so bad for his family.

I loved those Super Corsair restorations and seeing them fly at Reno. I'm just devastated that Bob is gone.

Thoughts and prayers for Mr Odegaard, his friends, and family. I'm actually starting to dread Air Show Season. :(

Terrible, terrible news. Bob is irreplaceable. One of the true warbird legends. My condolences to his friends and family.

Anyone know which Super Corsair he was flying at the time of the crash?
