Discussing this in an open forum could be counterproductive. Secrecy can be a good thing in these situations.
If it was me I'd ask to have the thread pulled as harsh as that seems.
Once recovered and legal then post all you want.
Look at other recoveries and the many thefts, issues and legal dealings that have resulted.
Good luck and you ought to go silent on this.

Thats true. Alot of people wanna jump on the easy part after the research and hard work is done. Like the 20 spitfires found this year.

Got to agree with the secret/silent phase. As a huge Cobra fan I will be among the most eager to see what you got when the time comes. Don't forget us at WIX! For now though, keep the lids tight. Document things thoroughly with photos. notes, timelines, etc. so the whole story can be told later this Fall when she's sitting on your hangar floor. We will have many questions then.

does one not have to apply to salvage this item?
