IIRC, doesn't the P-61 at Udvar Hazy have remnants of the "project thunderstorm" markings on it?

That's exactly why the resin aftermarket is so active and vibrant. The resin guys are starting to drive the bus and influence the manufacturers (like GWH) to alter or correct their molds. So I expect more mod parts to start showing up for sale.
