Over the years I have jotted down some info on various odd type aircraft. Some of this info is probably well known, but I thought interesting.
XC-112A - photos of its crash on golf course - see Warbirds volume 19, No. 6
XA-32 - demise at WPAFB, see American Aviation Historical Society Journal, Vol. 32, issue 1, Page 72 for photo
YC-129 (C-47) - See Air Classic Review Special, Vol. 1, page 11, has photo
The following notes I had not indicated if photos were attached to articles
YP-29B surveyed at Chanute AFB during 1935; Wings vol. 24, No.5
2) F2L-1K (P-63) Scrapped at Ravenna Arsenal during 1955; Air Classics Vol. 20, No.1
XC-108 at Galt Airpoprt, Warbirds Vol. 7, No. 2
UC-100 Gamma, C/N 8; Warbirds Vol. 13, No.1
2) P-66's Aircraft salvage yard in North Dakota - I recall partial frames were recovered; Air Power Vol 15, No. 2, page 54
XP-83 crashed near Tonawanda NY 1946; Air Power V.12, No. 1 & AAHS Journal V. 39, Issue 2
3) XF8B's stricken during Jan 1948 & Mar 1950 at Philadelhia ( Info source not recorded)
P-44 Mockup drawing depicted in Wings vol 24, no. 3, pages 22 & 51
A-19, XA-31, XA-41 Scrapped at Renschler Field EHT, CT; see AAHS Vol.39, No. 4. Also XA-41 in Air Classics Vol.12, No. 2
The P-48 was a concept only, no mockup was ever built as far as I know.....
Interesting thread....Leon
