Live Bait lives in Scottsdale, the owner flies her regularly. I flew it at DM and did the initial post restroration flights.
Moonbeam is getting prop service as we speak. She'll be on the show circuit this summer.
Thx for the comments.

Great shots Vlado. You sure you don't just moonlight as a pilot and your full time job is as a photographer? :)

... sorry, couldn't resist smiling myself at this. Darrell, I surely hope you're not 7, cause that's how some of my teacher friends tell their kids to call them (Mr./Ms. "First Name"). ;)

Yes, you can chase me with that axe now... :axe:

Great to see FU-666 (F-86) on the ramp!
One of the ex-Bolivian birds

Who is flying her now?

Yeah CapFlyer...I am a couple years beyond 7 :( I can't help but to be a tiny bit goofy or in awe of gentlemen such as Mr Le.....whoops....almost did it...gentlemen such as Vlado. There was a post a couple above mine where someone else did what I would certainly do in person. A loooooooong time ago, I saw Vlado's Mustang, Moonbeam McSwine at an airshow. She was my first and will always hold a special place in my mind. To casually speak with her owner in here is worth all of the bickering and stuff that tends to go on in here all too often

Oh believe me, I'm still hard pressed not to use "Mr." and "Sir" around a lot of these guys, despite being repeatedly admonished for it. Almost got slapped upside the head by one guy (who will remain nameless) for doing it out of habit for the 4th or 5th time after being told not to do it.

Historical point - the proper name of the Sabre is "Hell-er Bust". It is a play on words for the name of Ed Heller, who is the name sake & pilot of this bird. He was a WW2 352nd FG ace (a VERY-VERY nice guy!) and who was shot down in Manchuria then taken as a POW in China. He with 5 others were held in China 2+ years after the 'police' action ended in Korea. Just all FYI. ( pilot/model info: http://modelingmadness.com/others/featu ... heller.htm)
Thus, I feel, it is indeed proper to use the jet's full name in respect of Ed Heller.
2 cents....again,

The web site automatically changes H*E*L*L* to Heck.
It should be H*E*L*L-ER Bust but electrons know differently.

Bill: Not a problem (I didn't know that the software automatically changes that word - I musta missed the memo!).
But, fantastic pix. Great that you were there to capture these images. The WX worked well this year too (our USAF WX guys forcasted 2 clouds north of Phoenix each day - they had good humor). Thanks for sharing.

I wonder why Dan had the sharksmouth removed from when it was originally painted in these colors last year... Just curious... Mike

I think they said they ran out of time to get the teeth re-applied. Not sure if they will get back on.
There were a few other paint details that weren't done because of time.
