That looks sharp... If it goes to Oshkosh - I hope someone gets some air to air photos of it with Chuck Greenhill's "Geraldine" & "Lou IV"... Be cool to see 3 yellow nosers...

I like the old paint scheme better :?

Wasn't that the only mustang painted in Pacific AAF colors?

The new paint looks fine but I much preferred the "Dixie Boy" scheme. However, I'm not the one who has to be happy with it. (Unfortunately) If the new owner wanted to keep it under wraps until Oshkosh I'm afraid that cat is outta the bag!

I promise not to share it or post it anywhere... anyone else want to sign on that pledge?

Yeah, I have an unhealthy obsession with Stiles, frankly... when I was in Denver back in Dec 2010, I actually found his boyhood home and took a pic of it, and just spent a little time walking around his neighborhood. (Sorry for the blur, I stumbled just as I took the pic...)

When it comes to telling the story of what these boys-turned-men experienced, nothing comes close to "Serenade To The Big Bird", in my humble opinion. Sorry for the threadjack, but I figured I'd give a little background to my choice. :)

Nothing about the scheme is classified. A/C will most likely not be at OSH however this year due to owners schedule.

The new scheme is VERY special to the new owner personal reasons. His goal was not a 100% authentic scheme.

I'm with ya on Stiles. An absolutely powerful and moving book. That he could convey it that strongly at the time, without the benefit of hindsight, makes it that much more special. I'd guess i re-read that book probably every couple months. I wish his words could be heard on the world today. Seems like we've forgotten what he was so clearly able to see.

So long as it's not rotting away like this anymore -- and stays flying -- I don't care how the owner wants it painted!
