This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Recent mention in Warirds Digest, is that the aircraft will be painted in the markings of a No. 487 RNZAF Squadron example that took part in the famous raid on Amiens Prison, otherwise known as Operation Jericho. In the realms of Mosquito history, and the connection of this aircraft's construction/build (what you see in the end product) being tied to those in New Zealand who have been responsible for the work, this seems a perfect choice in my mind.

I think it's still in Oshkosh.
I'd have to think that if it were in Florida, the humid climate would have turned it to mush by now.
Or reduced to kindling during Andrew in '92. I saw it at the old WAM in Tamiami in '90. When I went back in early '92 it was gone to OSH.

more thread drift... when I worked for Kermit I got several rides in the Mosquito, including an aileron roll over Wisconsin during Oshkosh 1990 shortly before it was retired. I like to say that I can always win a "Well I had a ride in...." contest-
Looking forward to one living just a few hours away

I generally don't like riding in airplanes flown by others but I've got say, I'm jealous!

The boys from AVSPEC's have been slowly updating their facebook page as well with some really good detailed photo's of the Mossy Restoration. Just in case people hadn't seen them.
