N68756- the whole fuselage exists. Is it going to be used in the restoration at pima or just broken up for parts?

JohnH - in fact I double-checked and I had jumped the gun a bit! I should have quoted the former Fort Worth, Texas PBY N6473C as no longer extant, not N68756. My latest take on N68756 is as follows, extracted from my World Catalina News feature on the Catalina Society website and courtesy of information received from Mark Pilkington...

...meanwhile at Pima, the hull of the former Confederate/Commemorative Air Force PBY-5A Catalina N68756 is to be used in that same restoration project (with N10609 and N322FA) but the wings remained in Texas and never went to Tucson. They have now been dismantled and shipped to the A24-88 project at Moorabbin mentioned above. As A24-88 had lost its wings many years ago, probably when it was converted to a houseboat, the arrival of parts from N2886D and N68756 has got to be good news. For the time being, I will count N68756 as a survivor at Tucson until such time as it is subsumed into the composite airframe that one day will emerge from their spares holding.

Meanwhile, the latest version of the Survivors list (less N68756 which I'll add back in at some point) may be found at http://www.catalina.org.uk/survivors-list

That was the Wright Cyclone-powered PBY-5A N9505C c/n 1581 ex-BuAer 34027 and it is currently at Ephrata, Wa. It has not flown for a long while but was supposed to be involved in a passenger carrying operation in the Caribbean that does not seem to have progressed.
