Cool cap Jerry! I had been thinking we needed nose art caps for the Yellow Rose. The plane on the cap just doesn't quite do it for me. Your Pacific Princess cap proves the concept for me!

Here's one we did for the 17 being built in Urbana, OH

The banquet tickets went on sale today and are already sold out. A new site is up with a complete schedule of events for both Urbana and Dayton.

I'm looking forward to attending! This will be my first major event that I am covering as a member of the media... I am looking forward to it! I hope to see many fellow WIXers there!

I went on line at 9am and got two tickets for the Thursday Luncheon ... I think they still have some available for the Friday Luncheon.

Our gang bought all the seats on one of the flights on Yellow Rose. So I guess we will help her get back home.

All: I'm trying to get 5 tix (2 vets, 2 ladies, and myself as chief catherder) to the Thursday luncheon. So if anyone has to back out, I'm your man.

Can't go Friday as I'm taking them on the resto tour.

Glad to see all of the interest in the Reunion. The 70th Anniversary is on pace to be the biggest event ever held at the Air Force Museum. We have 25 B-25's coming and those with Living History Rides Waivers will be offering Rides at Grimes Field all day on April 14-15-16. At sunrise on the 17th, we will all take off at 90 second intervals to fly to historic Wright Field, just behind the National Museum of the United States Air Force. The sight of 25 B-25's lined up wing tip to wing tip will never be seen again. The sight on Wednesday, 18 April of 25 B-25's flying over in tribute to the Raiders will never be seen again.
We were able to locate a lady in China who, with her parents, assisted crew#2 to evade the Japanese after the Raid. She will be in attendance along with a Chinese archeologist, historian who has located all 15 of the China wreck/ditching sites. Never forget that over 250,000 Chinese civilians were massacred by the japanese in reprisal for the assistance given the Raiders. Also in attendance will be a sailor from the USS Hornet that was on board when the Raiders launched the Raid on April 18th, 1942. The Hornet was sank 6 months later, at the Battle of Santa Cruz, after the Japanese had figured out that the USS Hornet launched the Raiders.
See you in Dayton in April!

Today Mr Kelley gave a status update on the B-25 gathering on Warbird Radio.
http://www.warbirdradio.com/2012/02/201 ... -thursday/

He said 24 B-25s have committed to attend with 2 more attempting to get the funding to attend. You can assume all 17 planes that attended in 2010 will do so again but I'm just listing those that have been mentioned somewhere as specifically attending below. Of course weather, funding and mechanical issues can change things:

B-25A 40-2168 Miss Hap - Listed on plane's website schedule
B-25D 43-3318 Grumpy - Mentioned here on WIX and today's WR broadcast
B-25H 43-4106 Barbie III - Listed on plane's website schedule
B-25J 43-27868 Yellow Rose - Mentioned here on WIX and today's WR broadcast
B-25J 43-28204 Pacific Princess - Mentioned on WR broadcast
B-25J 43-35972 Maid In The Shade - Mentioned here on WIX and today's WR broadcast
B-25J 44-28866 Champaign Gal - Based at Urbana
B-25J 44-28938 Old Glory - Mentioned on WR broadcast
B-25J 44-29869 Miss Mitchell - Listed on plane's website schedule
B-25J 44-30734 Panchito - Of course and the plane is completely repaired and has flown since the incident.
B-25J 44-30801 Executive Sweet - Mentioned on WR broadcast
B-25J 44-30823 Pacific Prowler - Listed on plane's website schedule
B-25J 44-86758 Devil Dog - Listed on plane's website schedule
B-25J 45-8835 Betty's Dream - Mentioned on WR broadcast
B-25J 45-8898 Axis Nightmare - Mentioned on WR broadcast

Planes that attended 2010 gathering not listed above:
B-25D 43-3634 Yankee Warrior
B-25J 44-29939 Briefing Time
B-25J 44-30129 Wild Cargo
B-25J 44-30832 Take Off Time
B-25J 44-31385 Show Me
B-25J 45-8884 Lady Luck

Even adding both groups together that's only 21. Any speculation on other potential attendees?

In addition TX Flying Legends will be bringing their A6M2-21 Zero. One of three airworthy "real" Zeros in the world. I would guess that some "Little Friends" might show up as well.

BK.....Let's flip the question(s) just a little.
1. What other everyday flyers are NOT on this list.
ie: ... Heavenly Body
... In the Mood
2. What other B-25's are/were flyable, but have not been generally seen lately?
ie: ... Tootsie
... Georgia Mae

What about the LSFM and Special Delivery. It seems like it would be there with that Doolittle Radier scheme on it.
