What I don't understand is that's not authorized to import a plane with demilitarized guns in the USA ?

Someone could inform me about the rule in your country ? thanks

The rule is, we put the stupidest people in charge, and let the ones with the smallest winkies enforce the stupidest rules. This is because the first group is criminally unemployable in any honest capacity, and nobody can stand the second...

My hope as an enthusiast is that eventually the Skyraider will be on the airshow circuit and able to be enjoyed by all of us airplane buffs.
The rumors I have heard out of KBHM, is that Hendrickson has a history of wrecking and groundlooping everything he owns and is considered by some to be a careless numbnutz in the Birmingham area.
This story reeks of "arrogant rich guy thought he was smarter than the feds and could beat the system" . Says he declared it to be worth $100k , even though it was flown across the Atlantic? Hopefully he will be able to keep his plane after he pays double what it would have cost to have it imported legally and lawfully.
Not all investments yield positive returns, he took excessive risks and will receive excessive losses.

Zactly

Shortest distance between two points.., is not always a straight line.

Terrain dictates...

$100K Value.., what an I D I 0 T. He tried to save a few bucks on taxes and import fees/levies etc. and the Aviation World suffers.

advertissement for the sky was at 400K$. so he buy it at 100K$. GOOD DEAL. I personnally approched this sky at st rambert 5 or 6 years ago and all I remember is all 4 canons were false or copies as for the two other sky also based at la ferté alais (salis collection).
can he fly back the sky to france for 100K$, I will be interested to buy at that price transported in a container or preferably in a ship this time.
