I think it's real nice that no one is playing the "war graves" card. I can't think of a more poignant and respectful memorial to the pilot, as well, perhaps, to all pilots lost in the Second War, than his restored mount. Even just looking at the photographs, the word "hallowed" comes to mind and heart.

The fact that he's perfectly preserved (mummified) there as the same young man you see in the old period photo. Haunting, yet intriguing at the same time.
