Oops, yes, indoors, I was thinking of another fort. Still outdoors and mostly gutted. Still a few of those out there.

There are about 4 or 5 other B-17's that are sitting outside that I would love to see come in. While there are others that are outdoors, they seem to atleast get a good level of care.

Very cool.

You do need to jack up the tail of the B-17 to get the turret in and/or out. On the Aluminum Overcast, we used a floor jack to move the turret into place, and then lowered the plane down to the ground once it was positioned. Then, we raised the turret on the jack, installed the "sawhorse," and used a ratchet strap to help keep the turret in-place until the support was reassembled and the ring gear was re-installed.

Shoot, I thought you just dug a big hole under the belly, or pulled it over a foxhole...Isn't that what an entreching tool is for??
