Fantastic images! I love that the fonts and type styles of the early flight manuals are nearly identical today. Tradition!

If you have to ask the price you can't afford it!

Sheesh, that's expensive!!! I truly have no idea, but is that the going rate? Amazing pictures in this thread. That is one big bird! Is The B-52 as roomy inside?

lestweforget, the B-52 isn't so roomy. I can post a nice general arrangement diagram of the inside of the B-52 when I get my computer back from repair, but I have to scan some slides for our friend BUFFCC here on the board as well, then I'll get the answer to your question up here for all to see.

I didn't think so. If you could take the trouble to do that , I would appreciate it. Mind you, I would have loved to hear the sound of a B-36 flying overhead. Must have been really something!

There's an excellent new book out about the B-36.I pre-ordered a copy from Amazon ages ago and it arrived yesterday.I have about every book that's been printed on the B-36 and this has hundreds of pictures that I haven't seen before including a number of shots of the interior. There's a chapter on the YB-60 jet version as well as one covering tracked landing gear experiments and another on parasite fighter operations. The book lists for $32.95,which is a good price and is available at Amazon for $21.75.I highly recommend this book.

Thanks for the info. on this book Larry. I too think I have every major book written on the B-36 so I was wondering if there was anything new is this one and if it was worth getting.

I just placed my order on Amazon for it. :D
