This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I don't think the parents or the kid are a hoax. I posted this before but my response vanished. The kid was not 11 when he first started talking about this, he was very young. Too young to go on the internet or even use a computer, and they didn't let him anyway. He also is not exposed to a ton of TV. The parents took him to a few doctors when he started talking about it more, and at the time he would only talk about it when he was getting tired at bedtime. The Doctors were saying that is because certain parts of your brain have gone to sleep including the parts that let you lie. I don't think we know nearly enough to say that something is or is not possible.

...and I think his parents wanted to be on TV...much like the balloon adventure in Colorado recently......

I agree with Rich - a lot of this is based on your personal belief system. Personally, I believe I have my soul and no one will ever have it in another life and you only go around once. My shortcomings and successes will always be mine - I was never Capt Joseph McConnell and never will be, despite how cool it would be to be a triple ace jet pilot

August...your reply about demons...that is the best response on WIX ever! You rock!
Chris...is the video you are talking about the one where the boy is about two or three? His parents are walking him around a Corsair at a museum and the boy is telling them details about the Corsair?
If there is life after death, I hope to come back stinking wealthy instead of so good looking

Yeah that is the one. he then tells them the ship number he flew off of.

I was reincarnated as a combination of the Wright Bros, Alex Henshaw, and Tommy Nobis and I was just about to take Grace Kelley ( or was it Natalie Woods) for her first dual Spitfire flight, landing at Dallas Love Field to go see me and the rest of the U T team beat Navy, Staubach and them other Yankee scum in the Cotton Bowl , when the darn alarm clock went off and ruined the whole thing.
In another reincarnation I was Darren Ralves and half way down the Hannenkahm with a full second lead over those Austrians when the alarm clock spoiled it again.
Seriously, we can't know the whole depth of the human mind or how memories or formed or transmitted to others. I'd like to hear more about this. I have some doubts, but still an open mind.

And K5083, as for as talking to demons, is he still in Las Vegas?

I believe in reincarnation because of my background. It's a little known fact among wixers that I had a previous flight related life.
I used to be a spotted owl, flying freely, in the unmolested forests of Oregon until that Al Gore denier, Jack Cook, came along, shot me with a sling shot and made me into a tasty stew (spotted owl stew is delicious, hard to blame him).
I of course came back a pessimistic, warbird owning malcontent in the Midwest.
The stew thing really puts a bad spin on your future lives. I'm sure you can see why.

Had a teacher who was convinced I was reincarnated from a solder killed in 'Nam because I was born in the fall of 1969, but that guy was a hippie kook. I've never bought into this...
The mother right away said that the kid was "always interested in airplanes." Also seemed like the mother did ALL the talking, and the kid was trying to remember what he was supposed to say...
Maybe 20 years ago and you could know the kid had no way to research a story, okay, maybe. But these days when anyone could find details? Nah, not buying into it.

Wait a second guys, did you all watch the video. He went to a reunion from the fighter group he thinks he was assigned to, and knew veterans without any help, and asked about others without anyone helping him. Then he knew right were the crash site of the Corsair was in Chi Chi Jima. He knew really obscure details about his own family? I mean this is more than the balloon boy thing. There is atleast some reason to give the family some credit.

I just went back to the last website that Ken posted on this topic. I found it fascinating, go read it yourself. I am not saying I believe it all, we don't even know if what is reported is true, and the source is a reincarnation letter. But true or fancy or even fraud, it makes an interesting read, and provokes a lot of thought.
I'd love to sit down with the boy and see what he really knows about carrier life, and flying Wildcats or Corsairs, bombing, etc.
