One of the producers of “Dogfights” was Rob Lihani, a pal of mine. I worked with him on Mail Call when he made that show (that was his Jeep you saw in every episode, by the way) and even got on camera on the show once. When I last talked with him the subject he didn’t have a favorable opinion of HC’s practices, not that I blame him. According to him, Mail Call had good ratings, but HC decided to “go a different direction” with their programming. At that time, it was all about UFOs and ghost shows. They did the same thing with Dogfights. Beats me where HC will be going next. All these specialty networks are become homogenized anyway. I mean really, does anyone recall when MTV had music videos, HBO ran only movies and Bravo didn’t have a lot of cooking and gay-oriented shows?

My 11 yr old has even noticed, he says "What doe THAT have to do with History? This is supposed to be the history channel!" I just have to laugh! Guess I've have trained him well!!!

Yes sadly Discovery, History and VH1 have all jumped the shark. Just about completely useless at this point.
