Congrats I think.

I consider my discharge date 10/10, I went on 40 days of leave.

Were you as happy as I was on that day? Looking back it was a bitter sweet day.

OK troops...time for some answers.
Sgt. Hawk...Contrary to how I look in most of my pictures, I WAS NOT at Valley Forge.
DanK...I was only 13 in 1861 so I had to lie about my age. Told 'em I was 14.
Tim...Yes, very happy. Although memory only holds on to the good parts (mostly).
DJango...Joined Oct 19, 1955

Overlapped my dad's service, he got out of the AF in '59 as a S/Sgt IIRC.
