Hi Rob,
Many thanks for posting this article! You are not going to believe this, but our tooling came out looking EXACTLY like the ones in the photos. Just kidding! We are going the "minimum tooling" route, and using as much CNC technology as possible. I would rather store a DVD than a truckload of tooling. For instance, our spar assembly fixture will convert to the wing center section fixture, which will also allow the installation of the main gear, and other components. Thanks again for posting the article!
By the way, not to hijack the thread, but did you once say 97330 appears in a production line photo?

Many thanks Rob! What a fascinating set of photos and details. I'd always wondered how these items were put together at the component level. Any other cool production line photos to share?
Cheers,
Richard

The best factory shots I have are the F2G production series previously posted by Nathan Spencer and PhantonAce08 here on WIX a couple years or so ago. You've probably already seen those though.

How much do you want for your extras (especially, 11/43 and 12/43

).

Hi Richard,
If I can't trade for the issues I need, I could be persuaded to sell them. Not sure if you are familiar with Wings for Victory. It was printed from June '42 thru December '45.
I will let you know later in the week.
Thanks,
Patrick
ps. I also need 4/43.

This is all new to me, but fascinating, and sounds like I will need to collect the set too! Thanks for the potential option.
Cheers,
Richard
