The CAF has nothing to do with with the Wildcat, the wreckage was sold off.

The CAF doesn't own that Wildcat anymore. The remains were sold and it is being rebuilt in Uvalde, Texas.

That was a Jack Sandberg "racer" special. Clipped wingtips too.

JRS found the F6F abandoned at some airport in the midwest IIRC.
Amazing story of dedication to recover it.

Jack.. you are righter than two rabbits... or one pony!
If the CAF were parking it in a Museum it would improve the looks. But the Curtis Electric props were supposed to not be as user friendly to operate. Now I ONLY read that in a book and am standing by with my flame suit on!

Light the torch!

Most Allison powered birds (P-38/P-40/P-51A), some Wildcats and P-47s seem to be flying with them just fine. I think the hard part is finding them more than it is operating them.

Using Warbirds Directory 2008 and finding a B-25 owned by J K West and then by John Stokes I came up with the B-25 I identified above that is now at Castle Museum

Doesn't seem to be listed under that name in the Warbird Directory.

However the aircraft discussed has the following entry, if that's of help:

108- B-25J 44-86891 Davis Monthan AFB AZ: wfu, open storage 12.57/59
47645 • EB-25J N3337G Max Biegert, Phoenix AZ 22.4.59
JB-25J L. K. Roser, Phoenix AZ (tanker #37) 12.59/65
(conv. to air tanker 6.60, 1170 gallons)
Aero Industries, Addison TX 2.65/69
(op. for Texas Instruments to flight test
development of infrared & radar systems)
Jeanette T. Bryant, Jacksonville FL 5.70/71
Payne Company, Pecos TX 2.71
J. K. West/ R & W Air Ag Inc, Angleton TX 11.71/76
John J. Stokes/ Cen-Tex Aviation, San Marcos TX 1.76/77
Dwight L. Reimer/ Minter Field Air Museum,
Shafter CA 8.77/79
Leroy W. Richards, Chico CA 10.79
USAFM, Castle AFB CA: del. 14.1.80/08
(displ. as "02344", later "891/Lazy Daisy Mae")
