Jim when you going to bring that beautiful Spit up to Canada and put it along our CF18? Is this even possible? Would be really cool to see.

Jim,
If it does come to the point that the civilian half of HF is no longer funded maybe there would be a way that airshow buzz and wix fans could make donations? I would gladly through what I could at that . To me you guys do a tremendous job of preserving our history.
Thanks

I've deleted some posts that were detrimental to this thread. I also deleted the responses to those posts. So lets keep this thread on track.

Thanks for the cleanup, Scott.
You can make donations to keep the civilian parts of the HF and LF flying. Quite a few of the birds belong to non-profits, and they can always use donations.
I know that LSFM's Tarheel Hal P-47 HFs will be severely cut back without the funding. With their ongoing efforts to recover from Ike, they simply cannot outlay the money. They'd welcome any donations, for HFs or otherwise.
For anyone that is interested, Tarheel Hal's last HF under the current program is scheduled for Randolph AFB's show later this fall.

I agree -- in this context donations directly to LSFM and/or Planes of Fame is the best place to send any loot. Now more than ever they need the money.

I guess I will have to try and make a point of getting some shots of that.

I heard from a very reliable source they are possibly going to fund the HF through a trust. Is this true Jim or Vlado? Obviosly this isn't going to happen overnight but there maybe hope for people seeking to send money to see this in the future??

I have not heard anything definitive at all.
However, the program will continue in some form, fortunately.
