It was actually pretty funny, and the sergeant giving the tour was laughing about it with Ellen and I as we continued the tour. He said that lots of people "pushed the envelope" when they saw a particular airplane that they really wanted to get close-ups of. I didn't know the tour directors were volunteers--my thanks to them for spending their free time to show us through AMARC.

Naw Scott, I didn't take it that way. The MASDC tours were great, but gone forever.

There were two individuals that were there month after month in the late 70s, early 80s were Captn Crippen and Sgt Brazil. I suspect they are both retired now. I wish them both the best.

Looking on Google Earth there are only about three D-21s left at AMARG.

I was at Davis Monthan AFB delivering a plane when they brought some of those drones in I took a couple of pics and they didn't appreciate it, I told them RHIP.....I still have the slides somewhere and afterall they were there to be mothballed and scrapped.
