By the end of the display on Sunday, storm cells were moving through the Nampa area. This made for some dramatic photographs...

There was some impressive formation flying from the T-6 contingent:

Seeing Lil' Margaret was a real treat -- she seldom comes out of the smog and humidity back East

John Curtiss, you keep right on ridin' those things....it's the little things at airshows that add the humor to them and make them fun....I love it.....looks like a great show and I, being a Corsair fan, cannot say enough about the beauty of that P-51B....she IS spectacular....can't wait to see some air to airs of her....Dick Phillips needs to shoot it and feature it on his next X mas card....

Well, if your kid is still a bit too young to start flying lessons, you might as well start him out on the tug...

Danny Summers from Rexburg, Idaho owns the Super six in question. John Muszala Jr. flew it in for us.

Thanks for posting all the great pics Neal!

Geared engine.

it make a great formation plane even better. It can use the HP more efficiently. it will pull harder on the outside of formations than a stock 6, and they do acro very nice as well. N5287N at Leeward air Ranch was the first one to have a geared engine and the mod was done on a 337 and is in standard catagory.

This was posted on another forum by John-Curtiss Paul, regarding the presence of "Lil' Margaret" at the Nampa event. I thought it would also be of interest here:

"Re: Nampa Photo Thread...

Yes, Butch still owns the airplane and was gracious enough to allow John Lane to fly it out here just for our "Salute To North American Aviation" event at the Warhawk Air Museum. This is the farthest West it's ever been and we are incredibly grateful to Butch as well as John and Nancy Lane who sponsored the cost to get the airplane to Nampa. Not to mention the time it took John to fly it out here from Danville! It was the highlight of the event and a true honor to have it on display.

Thank you Butch, John and Nancy!!

Has anyone ever thought of putting a TF configured Mustang back into a Temco TF paint scheme? You know, 1950's USAF polished metal with red in the stars and bars?
