Hey Tim - I am trying like heck to make this Geneseo road trip work for me. I am going to try and take the Southern route through lower NM and do the I-10, 20, 30, 40 route into Nashville and North from there on the I-65. I am attempting to do an overnight in Dallas and then an overnight with a friend in Middletown, OH and OH to Geneseo on Friday AM. Not sure what plans you guys have for driving, but might be able to "formate up" on the OH to NY drive with you... Miata flying escort :-)

And yes, that means that on the trip back South to AZ, I am going to have to stop at Austin Acres :-)

ever heard of airline service? Rochester has a pretty big airport! :)

Rich

Ryan is afraid of flying

Seriously though, it's been great having you involved with WRG and WIX and you've been a source of help and motivation for years, as well as getting me my first warbird ride!

You WILL be at Geneseo this year, even if I have to drive to AZ to pick you up you will be attending!

Kelly and I are heading up to NY this Saturday to spend some time with family for a few days so they don't feel like I love Warbirds more than them.

I'm going to try and brake away 1 day to do a wreck chase in the Catskills!

Ryan,
I'll pack you a few Lambic Style Brews! I even have labels for them now.

Tim

That trip remains one of my fondest memories.

Ahhhh... Well, I trust that was a positive experience! :D

Here's that dubious crew.

Seriously, though, it was a very memorable and enjoyable experience. I've still got the T shirt, Ryan!

And a partial recreation is going to be possible, thanks to T-33 driver's generous hospitality, as I'll be at Oshkosh this year! Looking forward to saying 'hi' again!

Regards,

Hey Ryan, If you do get to Genny, do you think you can look me up and we could discuss "Warbirds Online"? I'll be around.

Hey Tom - absolutely!

Still working on the "how" of getting there now... because of vacation limits and (another) large project at work, it looks like I can't take the four extra days in total to drive up... and the frequent flyer reward trip I thought I had on Southwest, is not really there... so I'd have to bite the bullet and buy a $600 round-trip... which isn't looking very likely at all. That's just TOO much for a stinking airline ticket.

So, I'm still looking... but there is a chance I may be in AZ still...
