I'm pretty sure that collection is what is now at Frontiers of Flight. It's a pretty nice collection too.

The E seat collection that is at Frontiers of Flight is on loan. It is owned by Chris Woodul, their Curator.

Thanks for the replies, y'all. I don't know what I'm going to do with the seat arrangement yet, but it's a little ways down the road...so I'll keep lookin'.

Gary,

The guy in Decatur, TX would probably be Dennie Darnell. He used to live on our airstrip. He is a master parachute rigger. He moved north up to the Bowie area along several years ago with all of his stuff. Lot of mil surplus stuff. He may have something you can use. PM me if you can't track him down on the phone info page. He may be unlisted. I know where he works and can get you a DF steer in his direction.

Unfortunately, Peter, ejection seats are considered a demil D item and therefore subject to destruction. AMARG wouldn't release it if they had them.

I have a voodoo seat sitting on my deck....guess I should sell it to the highest bidder!

Orrrrrr.......you could donate it to the cause. You're feelin' generous, aren't you? All we're tryin' to do is improve an old Warbird. ;-)

Something you may want to try is do a search on e-Bay and schedule a search to be done each day. You never know what will turn up.

The seat collection at the Frontiers of Flight Museum is awesome! Here's a few pics I snapped last November...

Yep, Chris does nice work. his F111 capsule is amazing. It was a bare shell full of foam for water egress traing when he got it.
