I would rather see the decal on a bird in the air than no decal on something dead and stuck behind a chain gathering dust.

I would rather see the most authentic restoration possible. Whether it is static or flying. No dig meant at the CAF, I am just not a fan of anything that takes away from the original markings of the aircraft. And steve static isn't dead.

The paint job, along with the fact that it's an A model, suggests that it is an old Southern Air Transport bird...but no antennae farm on the back. Any history on this one?

Here's a couple from our flight home from Madera. Bernie Vasquez was the Jelly Belly pilot, Jerry Anderson and Mike DeCastro were the photo pilots.

That has to be the cleanest C-130. ALso very cool Stearman shots.
