I am trying to tie this in with the old joke about there being two seasons in Canada, Winter and June 8th. But I cant. :(

I am so looking forward to seeing a Lizzie fly, I went to Duxford and Old Warden a few years ago and they were both down for MX.

Nice job, Good luck!

UPDATE: Work is still progressing towards the first flight. The photos below show the Lysander being weighed. She weighed in at 4724 pounds.

UPDATE: Rob Erdos (Vintage Wings of Canada) did run-ups and some taxiing in the Canadian Warplane Heritage Lysander today. Dennis Bradley, who originally purchased the Lysander in the seventies and donated it to CWH, was on hand to witness the activities. A few minor snags were encountered. Paperwork is now in place to allow her to fly. When? Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday!

Thanks for the update CWH. It's great having you on WIX to keep us all up to date.

I wish you all the best with the test flight. I hope you can show us some pictures as soon as it happens.

Cheers,

David

Sandy Thomson's, that was after my second time running it. Still scares the @#*% out of me each time I've run it! It is based at CWH but privayely owned. I have been maintaining it at the shop I run (Jetport Inc.) for the last 2 years. He has a Fouga as well.
