You will be happy to know that the teachers for the Grade 6 program are all retired air force and air line pilots....so the issue you mention is taught

1) To match the Alberta School cirriculm

2) The right way

All of our programming is to the Alberta School cirriclae, but as you can imagine where it is in error it gets taught per the circ, then the real way.

I'll look for the spelling mistake.

The Bournelli vs. Newton debate has been going on forever. the more I read about them, the less certain I am of who is right. In truth, I think they are both correct, although both descriptions also have their weaknesses. I think we are still in need of a "Unified Theory of Lift". That is a whole thread in itself.

(Speaking of threads, here's a chuckle: http://www.starterupsteve.com/swf/posting.html)

I literally share your pain with your home page, since the home page I designed for the local EAA Warbirds chapter website is very similar: http://www.cincinnatiwarbirds.org/

I have recently advocated changing it in favor of something more usable (it is slow to download and difficult for new visitors to navigate), but met the same resistance you have experienced from club members who are enamored of its gee whiz multimedia aesthetic.

Whatever you decide, I would definitely go back and adjust the audio level of the sound effect in Flash. You may even need to knock it down a few decibels in an external sound editor and reimport it. But it is obnoxiously loud at its current level. (A common oversite in multimedia...notice how many DVD's have uberloud menus vs. the movie. No one ever normalizes the audio before importing.)

The site itself is fine. Very well laid out and easy to navigate. Only quibble I have is the brown background outside the content area, which seems garish. Maybe navy (or air force, if you prefer) blue would work better?

Thanks Fritz and everyone else

I am currently in Ottawa to attend the Smithsonian Mutual Concerns of Air and Space Museums conference and will see about altering sound levels when I get back.

Appreciate the input
