I took a ride on Liberty Belle this morning. Great WX, great crew, great airplane, great time! :D

The A-26 was parked on the ramp. It was amazing to see the complete remotely controlled turrets, periscopes, etc. First time I've seen that stuff in person. Neato! :D

I stopped by the hangar where Ol' 927 resides. There were some folks working on her, but there were no WIXers around (I asked). I was hoping to meet some of the gang and get the "nickel tour". Maybe some other time. :cry:

Is it theirs? I saw it today at the other hanger, by where the new museum would be built. And an AH-1 was there too, what was left of one anyway.

Yes it is, I think they got it in either 07 or 08.

We got it in Oct. 2007 but had an engine failure on the way home. A new engine was installed this winter. When the weather was better, it was flown home by Museum pilots Rick Sharpe and Mike Burke. Glad to get her home.
