I like it. It is just paint. As long as they are not passing it off as a "true" warbird.
It is just fun.
It is always better to see something with some color... instead of the same old thing...
What is the limit?
Are painting Roundels crossing the line? Or the full paint job?

Ryan if you look close at your photo at Boerne behind the Fat Faced Rocket you can see the pseudo SWA trainer in proper colors for 737 pilots.

Like I said, I intentionally kept the poll simple. I didn't add an option for sometimes, or it depends on the situation, because I wanted to keep everyone from riding the fence.
I guess the reason I posted this, is because love 'em or hate 'em, pretty or ugly, they can all be interesting and fun to see. Even the ones that may make you cringe a little.
Interesting tidbit on the Grumman factory option. I guess that would explain why it is so common.

I really think it's all about having fun. Then I remembered seeing Jack Roush's Cessna Sovereign jet ,or what ever it is painted in 357th markings. I really love what the guy is doing for the warbird community but that painted up like that, was a little hard on the eyes.

Ober be sure to tell Scott his ride is now been shown worldwide now and Brannock is looking a bit older now in that picture....

This Yak 52 is an interesting example. I flew it a few times before it was sold. It was painted in the Empire Test Pilots School colours because they used it occasionally as part of their training. When it had to transfer from the Lithuanian register to the UK one, the CAA didn't like the scheme at all as there had been no "official" permission to apply it in the first place. So it had to be changed. A real pity as it looked good.
