I happen to know 2 of the guys who work on the one based at Ft. Wayne and I'm pretty sure it's normally just the 2 of them who work on that one. They both were in the Guard at Ft. Wayne and have maintained that airframe for many years now. Dean flew the hun quite a bit last summer in hopes of selling the plane but the deal fell through so it's still at Ft. Wayne now.

Dean has an exceptionally beautifully marked F-100F Super Sabre that is a very elusive air show participant. As far as I know, Indianapolis last August was the only show he appeared at in 2008.

if you get any inkling of where it may show up this year, please let us know.

i think 1 still operates out of mojave as a test bed for some company. question... do civilian owned jet warbirds still fly with armed & operational ejection seats?? or are they demilitarized??

The experts on these boards can provide a full answer to this, but I don't think most of the jet warbirds (Sabres, T-33s, Skyhawks, etc.) would be flying without operational ejection seats.

There are actually two down there. N417FS and N418FS. Their sister ships, N416FS and N419FS are in Bozeman, MT sitting on the east side of the airport....or so I've heard.

And yes, the seats are hot in all 4 of 'em, as well as in the F-86 and the T-33.

There's at least one TA-4 flys with cold seats.

We fly with hot seats in the CF F-4 and TA-4.

I could use some help with locating these. Here are the F-100s I have noted at Mojave...

F-100A 53-1688 at Site H here...

I am guessing this is not one of the two you have mentioned.

There may be a F-100 here...

...but it is difficult to tell from the satellite image.

F-100C 54-2091 N2011M at Site C here...

...but again not one of the two mentioned above.

I am guessing the two FS F-100s are the two noted at Site B here...

I should also ask if any of these sites are in public view. I may get a chance to visit in May.
