The story I heard several months ago (from someone who should know) was that it was to be shipped from Miami to somewhere in Europe........ Flying was not an option. (which is a pretty good idea to me)..

So its gone on Friday...... You can't tow it from Pensacola NAS to downtown to put on a barge (its a P-38 and pretty darn wide for city streets). So after I wander around the docks, I figure, HEY?? Fly it to the airport here and take the outter wings off and then tow it downtown at like 4AM when there is no traffic......

Of course if it left Friday, can you get the wings off it by Saturday morning? I'd say probably not, so who knows where its at? Also why barge it from Pensacola to Miami (say maybe they can ship from Tampa) Its still a LONG trip..... So I figure it got flown somewhere closer to where it will end up on the ship.........

I asked a lot of people about it and nobody seems to have seen it.... I'm sure it will show up........

I'd love to take credit for that, but I am not Mark. I just found it on youtube this morning.

Nothing to be sorry for. I am glad I was not that crane operator. Talk about pegging the pucker gauge!
