Bungies

Just a little while back, a local aviator broke his Kitfox when a bungie broke just after touch down. I don't know what model it was, but after looking at the bungie arrangement, I am not a fan of that part of the airplane. Everything else I have heard about the airplane (including from my instructor who has about 40 hours in them) is great.
It doesn't matter how you get there, as long as you get in the air... Although an L-5 or Spitfire does make you look cool when you fly...

later versions had a 1 piece gear, no more bungee cords
