This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Hi Mike, on the one in Ft Garland you need to head east 3/4 to 1 mile? Follow the dirt road along the highway until you see a white "splotch" in the dirt just off the road, and to the left of that what appears like a horseshoe shape with a tiny little square with what appears to be a cross in the square.
THATS WHERE IT IS
Thanks for all you do and now I know where it came from
Next time I head that way I'll stop and get coordinates for ya unless somebody beats me to it

Anyone know the ID of the T-33 at Frontiers of Flight? I have asked at the museum and I guess I haven't asked the right person...
Here are couple that I saw last weekend at Midlothian, TX
I have never seen either of these before.

The remains of N94498

Guys,
Perhaps the under belly "bump" is her pole scar from time served at Battle Mountain Nevada?
Still looking for more.

I don't think it was ever on a pole, see here:
http://www.ruudleeuw.com/others-brinson.htm but I could be wrong?
Also if you look at the ex battle Mountain one and the Lubbock one the "hump" or "bump" are in two different positions. Unfortunately the only close up is the one in Lubbock.

Zane, what's the story on the QT-33?
Also, can just anyone drive up to the airport at Midlothian and check out those T-33s?

Hmmmm. Joe Baugher's site doesn't have an entry for 56-1767 so I wonder if this is the correct s/n? Need to do some digging I guess for it...

There was no one in the FBO/Terminal so I just walked over to the Airborne Imaging hanger and asked the guy working in the hanger if I could take some pictures. He said yes.
He was a real nice fellow...talked my ear off, told me stories you wouldn't believe.

What is Joe Baugher's site?
Can't blame the guys at Frontiers of Flight, of all the times I have been there, I only saw the description for the T-33 twice. Each time in a different place.

cozmo - check here:
http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/
He has the s/n listing for all military a/c here. I refer to it all the time!
Well I meant to say that Joe Baugher's site doesn't list 56-1767 as being at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. I sent him an e-mail so he can update his listing. Here's my photo of the museum's listing for that T-33:

Thanks for the link.
Heh, I thought I was the only one who took pictures of the descriptions. Aren't digital cameras with large memory cards great.
Here is one my daughter and dad took for me this weekend during a tractor show at the Rusk County airport in Henderson Texas. While I was in Midland.
