His face is clearly visable to me. I don't see a mask.

You and Bill need to get to the Optometrist!

I can clearly see his mask.

Seems like A pretty clear line across the bridge of his nose and a hose falling from below his chin

Everybody can just lay off Bill and his eyesight.

If he says he saw a Corsair, then I believe him. :D

As for eyesight, mine used to be pretty good. When I first started flying it was 20-10, that means I could read a chart at 20 feet that normal vision would read at 10 feet. Then as I got a little older it went to 20-15. I passed the vision part of my last FAA medical at 20-20 without glasses for distance vision. So still normal.

I have noticed that political point of view seems to affect vision. There are a number of starboard wingnuts on WIX that can still see the WMD s in Iraq and/or Syria, whereas I can't catch a glimpse of them, and they don't seem to be visible to either ground or satellite cameras. So if you decide that the photo is accurate and he is at 30,000 feet and has a mask on then so be it. I am curious as to what all you eagle eyes see the mask attached to, since it looks to me like you can see his forehead and hairline and there is no helmet there. As for the hose, I see a shadow all the way up the left side of his face. It is also possible that he is not at 30,000 or that he took the helmet off for a moment just for the photo.

Finally, one last question for you sharp eyed guys. In the photos form Dallas, there is something in the shadows on the grassy knoll. Some see only a shadow, some see a person. So for the real eagles among you, one last question about this shadowy person; boxers or briefs?

Easy there, Tiger. I was just having a little fun at your expense. Certainly no harm meant.

If you look carefully at the enlarged picture, you'll not only see a shadow running up the side of his head, but also horizontally across his forehead (caused by the canopy framework). I think what you are seeing as the pilot's hairline is actually this horizontal shadow. Look carefully and see that pilot is wearing both O2 mask and goggles.

I didn't see any of this until the enlarged photo either.

As for the Simpsons , well I once watched Jessica, but these days she doesn't seem to be hanging around the cowboy games as much.

As for the mask, maybe. But why would he wear goggles inside the cockpit when the canopy is closed and he is in cruise, not taking off, landing, or attacking? By the way, doesn't that guy look a lot like Jimmy Hoffa ?

I can see head gear, and the mask, but it looks like he's got bare eyeballs to me... I can't imagine flyin a single engine areoplane at 30K.

Ha ha, yes I know it's the top one, if you had trouble seeing the bottom one then you've seriously got issues! The more I look at it the more plainly obvious it seems he is maskless! Something like 30,000ft TUC=30-40 seconds?
