Hope all at pilot brief were satisfied with the explanation from the pyro side of the field for the alleged misfire on Saturday
:D

I think we should point out that the "explanation" was an exercise in humor that was a rare chance to kind of get to the airboss. Frankly, I was laughing like ... well, you know. Ralph was too. Thanks to another Randy who was the author of the explanation.

I loved the explanation and especially that the DM Wing CO will be getting it as part of the official "debrief" package from the West Coast pilots flying the show. :)

I have finally gotten home and to internet (come to find out there was no wireless available in Houston - BTW, thanks West Houston Sqn., CAF for letting CAP use your hangar!). Will get the laptop out here in a few and post the pictures I got. I didn't get as many as I wanted, but the camera batteries went dead on me.

Here's the pictures:

A couple of shots of Jan in his new Extra 300L. Sad to hear that his primary got totaled out by the insurance company. I really hope he gets to repaint this one in to something a bit more flashy.

After that, the camera died. I had pictures of the Bomber Parade and the spectacular Photo Pass by the R4D on Saturday, but they somehow got lost when the battery died.

BTW, does anyone know the identity of the TBM that was at AirSho?

CAPFlyer - the TBM was flown by Tex Edwards. That should give you some clues.

I would too. I guess the camera knew pictures of that ugly black plane were coming up again... ;)

Actually it really sucked because missing Saturday meant that I wouldn't get the pictures I wanted of the Korea and Vietnam segments since we left during that section on Sunday.

Torch, thanks for the pic...you can see from this angle that the pilot needs a second phone book to sit on to be able to see over the dash!

With the whole world going to cell phones the phone book keeps getting smaller and Karen keeps getting shorter!
