wow, time to get outta dodge! Sorry if I have missed this, Is LSFM flying those that can out or are they hunkered down? As I recall, they are pretty close to the shore. . .oh hey! I have a couple of hangars big enough for a B-17 or several other smaller planes that they could use for free! :D

Well, that's making it look like San Antonio might dodge this one... We've had helos in and out on their way to transporting patients out of Galveston and Houston today.

Just heard from a friend at the museum Looks like some aircraft have departed. The B17,B25, DC3 & the P47 were on the list not to mention the Corsair & Hellcat.

The projected landfall has not just put the eye coming ashore east of Freeport, TX....closer to Galveston.

Most of the LSFM folks that post here live North or on the Northside of Houston. Many of our southern most members have been helping evacuate the museum but they also have to look after their families, this includes our president Larry Gregory and his family who along with these volunteers will have to deal with mandatory evacuation. Just remember all these folks in your prayers and hope this thing called "Ike" looses some of it's punch.

WE've done the best we can with getting TEXAS RAIDERS prepared.

I bought a week's worth of food yesterday and this morning I got a week's worth of food for the cats and a bottle of tequila.

If things aren't back to normal in a week the cats oughta be fat enough to eat and I'll have the tequila to wash 'em down with, simultaneously drowning me sorrows.

SPANNER the prepared!
