RNZAF PV-2 Harpoon

FYI: There is a photo of a PV-2 Harpoon with RNZAF markings available at www.adf-serials.com. Select "New Zealand", then "Aircraft Images" then scroll down to "Lockheed PV-2".

Other post war operators of the PV-2 Harpoon include Japan, Italy, Dutch, Portugal (they used a large number of PV's), and of course we can't forget our good friends in France who also operated them for a limited time!
I believe the last combative roll the PV-2 was involved in, was in the 1960's 1970's by the Portugese in Africa...Angola...

I think I recall that the PV-2 in question in this thread, was not too long ago in Trade-A-Plane with a high six figure asking price....

What is that thing on the pole? It's not a Hudson. Again Harpoon looks more likely but iy's been modified,
