Not on a stick, but on a pile of sand. Located in a field along road number N59 between Oosterland and Bruinisse, The Netherlands, as an eye catcher for a car breaker's yard.

Dutch AF serial 'D-8030' is fake; its real identity was Belgium Air Force FX-45.

Nathan,

I have quite a few photos of airplanes displayed either on sticks, on ramps, on the ground, and so on, but they all are non-operational, and act as monuments.

Since the number of photos that I have is large, and uploading them to photobucket, to then in turn, post them at the WIX would be a royal pain in the tush, would you like it if I copied the photos to a CD, and send it to you?

I could provide location, approximate dates in some cases, and when the photo is not mine, the name of the photographer.

If you want these shots, please send me a snail mail address, and be prepared to wait : )

Saludos,

Tulio

If you have time to wait for the page to load, here is a list of mounted (pole and otherwise) aircraft in the USA...

I think you will find the Locator easy to use (or at least I think it is easy to use) and it should help you to find answers to your questions about locations.

There's a Douglas SkyRocket on a stick at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster Ca & a former Edwards AFB F4 Phanton on a stick outside the local Sheriff station

& a few 1/12 scale B2's scattered around the valley on various sticks including one at the college..
F104 sat in the gravel outside the main Lockheed gate at Plant 42 & a F117 & P80 on sticks just inside the gate.

F-86D Chandler Az, I took these today, notice the corrosion on the underside of the left wing. It looks like the wing was damaged at one point as the underside is painted, where the underside of the right wing is bare metal.
