There was a Dewoitine D 520 airworthy in France in the 1980s, but it was crashed, sadly killing the pilot. There are other examples in preservation - maybe we'll see another in the air one day.

all the remaining D-520 belong to the Paris Air & Space Museum. I don't think one of them will fly again.

Thanks! I don't think that's quite the full story though. As well as the example on show at Le Bourget, there's one at the Conservatoire de l'air et de l'espace d'Aquitaine in Bordeaux-Mérignac, and another under restoration at the Naval Museum in Rochefort - one of those is presumably the 'other' Musee de l'Air example from the store at Le Bourget. Then there was the mystery derivative version (D 514) with the fixed undercarriage auctioned at Wroughton in the UK to an unknown (to me) buyer.

I agree it's unlikely, but still more likely, with more than one surviving airframe, than seeing a Bloch MB 152!

Here's a couple of photos of the airworthy one at la Ferte Alais in 1986. It was destroyed later than year. :(

The one in the CAEA in Bordeaux is owned by the Le Bourget museum.

Christophe's certainly are! Nice. Sadly my kit nor skills were in the same league 22 years ago (or now!) as his. However they at least have a degree of warbird-history going for them.

Besides the one exposed at Le Bourget, the two other aircrafts located in Rochefort and Bordeaux are both owned by the air & Space Museum

Gorgeous photos Christophe! Looks like a fun shoot. How goes it these days? Is that joystick grip still holding out ok on the Avenger? Hope so. Nice to see it go to a good home.
