With the B-25 Yellow Rose, we took the mains to town (Hondo, Texas) then and at the tire shop there they used the car lift to break the bead and then split the tire. Its something to watch...

Well, the TBM uses 34x9 so the Mauler tire is about the same. By the way Gary, you wouldn't happen to have some TBM tires back at Midland buried around there somewhere would you. The Guardian at the Az Wing has TBM wheels and the tires are dry rotting away. They definitely don't have to be airworthy, just look halfway decent and support the weight of the plane. I told Pete Loguda I'd try to find some. That goes for anyone else out there. PM me if anyone does. THX guys

Gerald Martin sent this to me a couple of years ago. This seems like an appropriate time to share it again.

All things considered, it really is time to let some of these go to folks who will take the time and expense to take care of them.

What else is up for sale over yonder in Texas at the CAF? I don't suppose they have anything exciting and non-aviation related like a Stuart tank or a halftrack do they? Some aircraft musuems have this kind of stuff and get rid of it from time to time. My armored car came from one.

PM me if you know of any for sale purty please.

:D

I can tell you without reservation that the Mauler was never for sale. If it had been it would be sitting in my hangar in Saint Louis.
